When picking up your New Zealand car rental, ensure you bring your driver's license and an official translation if it isn't in English. You'll also need a credit card that matches the name and license of the person hiring the car. We do accept debit cards, but a bond is held: $400 if you select Silver Cover, or $2,500 if you’re on Bronze Cover. This is fully refundable once the vehicle is returned in the same condition. At Omega, we offer New Zealand's lowest insurance waiver rates! Also known as excess reduction, this daily insurance lets you lower the amount you need to pay should you experience an incident that damages a car or property. If you're over age 18 with a full driver’s licence, you can even get a zero-excess collision damage waiver. Additional drivers are covered by default.
